Thank you Marcus! Thank you Marcus for opening my eyes. I would be so lost without you that's no lie.  Without you I wonder who would I be? Had you not come on Earth and opened my eyes to see. Thank you Marcus for teaching us racial pride.  From our glorious outstanding history we should never have to hide. You taught us that Africa is the cradle of civilization and that knowledge of our African past in us build self realisation. Thank you Marcus for teaching us to be confident, fearless warriors and giving us the mind set to  destroy all racial barriers. You always encouraged us to seek out our past. How you must laugh out loud when we proclaim "FREE AT LAST". Thank you Marcus for showing the road to Black Liberation, and emphasising 'Black Consciousness'  in our struggles against exploitation. Perception - Isn't it a matter of an individual's mind how it works? Can we perceive that which we have no sort of experience or knowledge? or  would it be based off previous experience?

What’s the Standard in Jamaica? In my country Jamaica, I get the impression that anything goes. There seems to be no standard especially from our Public Officials such as the Politicians.  Daily the news is bombarded with their indiscretions and selfishness done in the name of 'the poor' and 'good of the nation'.  The sad thing is that they (Politicians) all flourish in wealth, whilst those they claim to work for the good of - languishes in poverty of all sorts.  It's like the Banks, yearly they report profits in the billions, yet those of us who dare to do business with them has nothing to report, except we become less financially capable.  The banks charge you a fee to withdraw your own money if you use the ATM, if you borrow a loan you must repay with high interest rates of 15% and in some instances the rate goes up to 37%. Then on top of that you are asked to pay a General Consumption Tax (GCT) and a service charge, which for some a percentage of the amo...

  Limitless Possibilities - I  often wonder what it would be like if I never had beautiful kids or married to a sometime-ish loving husband. Have you ever thought or wondered what it would feel like being in another position  than  the one you now find yourself living? I mean seriously! Thinking about something does not necessarily imply that there is a need, it's just exercising the power of thought, which causes one's mind to reach beyond their physical capability...that's powerful!  I think. I may never experience what I wonder about; however, I have stretched my mind many a times, especially when I find myself crouching with the responsibilities of my position...I slip away into wonder land for a brief while to escape from the realities that I must face. I am not ashamed of the girl I was 20 years ago, because it has helped to shape me into the woman I am today. I had to walk the path I walked to learn the things I did and now I look forward to the future that's filled with uncertainty ahead. Nevertheless, I will face it head on with hope and optimism; I will take on the challenges and overcome the fears. I will cry if I have to and laugh, for that I must! When I vowed for better or worse, in my mind it was not the worse that says the respect will be less, that is to say 'disrespect.' No way! I would not have subjected myself to such belittlement. The worst in my mind were external forces we would not have any control of. It is really unjust I believe for someone to subject self to such a thing. The worse  that I vowed to keep was  as we get old together and the body succumb to age and all the things that comes with old age such as sex, strength, productivity and any other you can think of that you have no control over. I will ensure that I discuss Marriage and the  matter of  for 'better or worse' with my children; it is imperative that they know from early what is the worse they will  endure and where they will draw the line and they should discuss it with their partner at such time. For better or worse....with conditions! know your purpose ....do you know yours?

Why do I exist? You know - I have wondered about this on many occasions and for many reasons. The fact of the matter is we are here and that means there must be a purpose for our lives. This does not mean the purpose is just going to happen in one go; however, I truly believe each event or situation that we are presented with is an opportunity to fulfill our purpose and defines our beings and will lead to the ultimate climax of this purpose.  Let me use the analogy of plants- which do have a purpose. Plants are used for basically everything- but ultimately the plant’s purpose is to feed all living things on the earth. Animals depend on plants for food and nutrition, medicinal purposes and a host of other things; so the plants are fulfilling their purpose.  While some may say ‘ I'm not sure!
